Jerusalem: Prophetic events unfold against tumultuous backdrop

Monday,, May 14th 2018:

Jerusalem: U.S. Embassy dedicated, Jared and Ivanka serve as emissaries for President Trump as the commitment made by the U.S. Congress in 1995 has finally been fulfilled.

Unruly demonstrations by Palestinians turned into clashes with the Israeli security forces, whichh resulted in the deaths of at least 50. Tensions remain high, as Israel is dealing with hostility from Iran who has fired scores of missiles at Israel. More headaches coming from the east as well, as Yemen and Qatar have tested the resolve of Saudi Arabia in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, the three-ring political circus now includes carnival-barker Mitt Romney, who was critical of President Trump’s choice of a Baptist minister to deliver the dedication prayer at the new embassy in Jerusalem. Romney tweeted his disapproval, calling Evangelical Baptist minister Robert Jeffress a “religious bigot” because he had been quoted(out of context)

Romney said, “Robert Jeffress says ‘you can’t be saved by being a Jew,’ and ‘Mormonism is a heresy from the pit of hell.’ He’s said the same about Islam.”

To which I say this: Mr. Romney, you are a Mormon. What does the Mormon church say wil happen to non-mormons? For that matter, what do the LDS believe in genera;? Well, it’s some pretty strange stuff, as they believe that all of us lived with Gopd in Heaven before the foundation of the Earth. They do not believe in heaven and hell(calling Christ a liar in the process).

And they seem to deny the deity of Christ repeatedly, and denying his gospel as a result.

And they believe that “ordinances” can deliver the dead(not in Christ) to heaven.

As a child, I was raised in the Baptist church. And doctrinally speaking, Baptists believe that Jesus ios the Way, the Truth and the Life, and that no man comes to the Father but by HIM. There is no other name in Heaven or Earth by which you must be saved.

That is the foundation of our faith. But what do we spend most of our time doing? Not bragging. Not judging. But evangelizing. We try to draw people to Jesus, because without Him, they will perish in their sin, and we know that God is not willing that any should perish.

So our mission is to share Jesus with the lost and dying world. And that includes to the Mormons, the Muslims, the Buddhists, the Hindi, the atheist, and all thopse who have not been washed in the blood of the Lamb, Jesus.

If Mr. Romney interprets that as bigotry, then we should all be bigots.
