Billy Graham was 99 years old. He died earlier today after a lengthy illness.
Graham was one of the biggest influences on my life. He was loved by many people. My grandmother was one of his most ardent followers. And so was my mother. We never missed any opf his televised crusades when I was a child.
And while some kids might have thought it lame to watch televised hour of an evangelist preaching a sermon, I was always rapt with attention on every word he said, and how he said it.
Billy Graham always lifted his messages from scripture, and then forcefully and confidently he would preach the gospel, and then call people to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
Graham was always available to help counsel presidents, and built a ministry which seemed bigger than life. He would invite people to send mail to “Billy Graham, Minneapolis, Minnesota. That’s all the address you’ll need/”
Today on The JJ McCartney Show, we remember Billy Graham, and we will recall some of his most effective messages.
We’ll be live from 3 to 5pm ET at www.jjmccartney.com and Red State Talk Radio.
