There was a time not very long ago when Democrats couold forgiuve ANY behavior on the part of their fellow democrats in the House and Senate. But that was yesterday.
Al Franken, already accused of misconduct, sexual misconduct, and who has defiantly dismissed calls for his resignation from the right, is now facing an increasingly bipartisan call for his resignation.
The latest development is a new accusation from a woman who claims that in 2006, Franken attempted to forcefully kiss her. When she evaded his advance, and made a bee-line for the door, and the safety of other people, Franken reportedly told her it was “my right as an entertainer”.
This complaint supports accounts from another accuser, Leeann Tweeden, who went public with not only her complaint, but the photo below which Franken arranged while she was sleeping after a lengthy USO tour with Franken and others in 2006.
Franken was also accused of bullying and stalking Melanie Morgan, and longtime journalist and commentator, who appeared last week on The JJ McCartney Show, and who led a march on Franken’s office in Washington last week, while leading a group of victims of harassment, including Dr. Alveda King, as well as Paula Jones, Juanita Broadrick, and Kathleen Willey, outspoken victims of sexual misconduct at the hands of former President Bill Clinton.
Now ten DEMOCRAT senators have called on the Minnesota Democrat to step down amid the latest accusations.
Also in the news today, TIME magazine has named #MeToo as it’s “person of the year” for 2017. The tide in popular culture regarding sexual assault, harassment and intimidation has been an extraordinary development considering the vast majority of those accused of such behavior are died-in-the-wool democrats/socialists/Anti-Trump politicians and entertainers.
